Warriors’ Patrick McCaw to start vs. Nets

With Warriors forward Kevin Durant sidelined Saturday night with a left hand injury, new kid on the block monitor Patrick McCaw will begin against the Nets.

Kerr decided on McCaw over Andre Iguodala to keep his second unit in place and limit the progressions to his turn. In spite of the fact that Durant's damage isn't extreme, Golden State needed to be wary of a five-city, eight-night street trip approaching.

"Kevin's hand is still somewhat swollen," Kerr said. "It was not anything will mess around with. We have a long outing coming up. We clearly have tomorrow off, traveling to Philadelphia. So ideally the following couple of days it'll quiet down and he'll be fine. It's sort of an everyday thing."

This will be the primary amusement Durant has missed since joining the Warriors in July.
